This is a fine and quite stunning Mintion casket from the art nouveau period of the 19th century. Wonderful overall decoration to the sides and the lid with the various figures and intricate decor. Mounted on four gilt bronze feet with head centrepieces with a similar to the front at the base. Also gilt bronze decoration to the rims & the catch. Internally has original silk linings with padding. Hinged lid. Has an overall height of about 5.75inches with a max overall size of about 8.5 x 5.5inches. During our research we have been informed this is certainly Mintons even though not marked. Has a weighted base under. Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is without any blemish. Besides being a very collectable and heavy 19th century Minton casket from the art nouveau period of an outstanding quality, would also look fabulous displayed.
