This is a very interesting 3- footed silver dish by Reed & Barton. I have not been able to find another like it. I don't know if it is plated or sterling. The bottom is marked very lightly: Reed & Barton 299.
The three feet are seahorses, each seahorse is approximately 1-3/4" long. The dish is 7" wide and 1-1/2" high (the heads of the seahorses rise above the dish about 1/4")
There is one "ding" on the inside of the dish (you can see in the picture) and several scratches on the inside and a few on the underside as well. If the dish is filled with mints, soaps, potpourri, etc., they would not be seen. There are a couple spots on the bottom that have tarnish.
