This is a stunning piece of English Ironstone. Piece is dates with a English Registration dating to 1856, ( see photo). Plate measures 8 5/8" in diameter. This is Early piece in the Tea Leaf Family, called Pre Tea Leaf, which is a pattern of Green underglaze and Copper Lustre patterning. Piece is also embossed in a Bodystyle called Niagara, which is a heavily embossed pattern. Piece eas made by Edward Walley. Piece is overall in good conditon,with no cracks or crazing, there is a flea bite on rim and a chip on backside of rim and lustre wear. This is a wonderful find and a great addition to any collection. Thanks for looking.
