Description:
This is a very charming piece of English Ironstone with a Tea Leaf Variation on it. Plate is embossed in the bodystyle called New York. Plate is marked with a incised stamp and dates to 1858. Piece was made by Clementson. Plate measures 9 3/4 " in diameter. This is a Tea Leaf Variation called Teaberry and also is heavily embossed with bodystyle pattern of large scrolled leaves around rim. Plate has a Copper Lustre detailing on Teaberry pattern as well as thick band on rim of plate. This is a earlier set with Black underglaze showing through from underneath copper detailing. Plate is in good condition with only slight surface wear and a glaze pop on back side of rim. This is a lovely gem for any collection. Thanks for looking.
