Thank you for looking at my floor cloth. This is only the second runner (2 x 6) I've made in this design. I've made this design in 2 x 3 mats before (which are good sellers) and the one runner I made in this design sold for over $100. The design was taken from a pattern given in the "Early American Life" magazine.
The piece started with 12oz primed (both sides) heavyweight artist canvas. The background color is a pale yellow, diamonds are antique gold, stars are barn red and umber green, and the border is red,green and gold. The entire piece was hand painted then given an antiqued finish. For protection I gave it three coats of polyurethane and two coats of paste wax. Spills just wipe away. This rug is very durable.
