About the artist:
MIKE MIGNOLA is best known as the award-winning creator/writer/artist of Hellboy. He was also visual consultant to director Guillermo del Toro on both Hellboy and Hellboy 2:The Golden Army. Most recently he was co-author (with Christopher Golden) of the novel BALTIMORE, or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire. Mignola lives in southern California with his wife, daughter, and cat.
About the auction:
This auction is part of a fundraiser organized by Comics Industry for Obama (http://www.comicsindustryforobama.com). 100% of the final winning bids from all Comics Industry for Obama auctions will be donated to the Obama campaign. In accordance with laws and regulations, contributions will be broken down as follows: the first $2,300 will be allocated to Obama for America and designated for the general election; the next $5,000 will be allocated to MoveOn.org; the next $28,500 will be allocated to the Democratic National Committee. Should the collective amount earned from all auctions exceed $35,800, participating artists will then manage the individual donation of funds once the auction has closed. Bids and contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.
