 | | Description | I came across a lot of beautiful china dishes from an antique store that was going out of business. All of it is in very nice condition. Please check out my other auctions to see the other treasures!
This is a lovely Nippon plate from the Jonroth Studios, noted for their fine work and gorgeous flowers. The plate has a dark enamel edge with and accents. The colors combinations of off white to yellow and sage green are exceptional. The background of brown stalks mixed with the green leaves and stems of the flowers suggest early desert blooms. The plate measures 6 1/4". There is some fine cracking that is nearly invisible through the upper side above the flowers, but must be noted. It certainly doesn't detract from his is a stunning piece of porcelain art.
The Jonroth Studios mark was used from 1900 to 1921.
