This is a beautiful old WWII U.S. Navy Bureau Of Ships E.T.S. Sextant from Bendix Aviation Corp. It is the 'MK 2 Mod. 0' model, and is from 1943. The Sextant is in beautiful condition, with only a few spots of very light finish wear, and no scratches. The larger size 2" mirror on the back has a small crack on one of the corners, and it has the same size replacement mirror, as well as another smaller one, that is wrapped in the paper and secured inside of the case. The instrument looks to have seen little use, and has been well cared for. The lettering is nice and bright as well, and is extremely clean. The inside lid of the case has the chart on it, and the U.S. Navy Collimation Certificate, which is signed and dated Feb.22 1945. The wood case has the Staff Navigator Only label on the top, and has some scratches, and a spot of wear underneath the front model tag. It doesn't have a key. The inside area is in great condition as well, and is very clean. The box measures 12" by 11" by 5 1/2. It will be packed very well. Buyer pays shipping.
