ITEM: You are bidding on a vintage pair of bronze clad decorative art deco era bookends, a great design as seen a pensive art deco Grecian posed nude (he must be reading Homer, perhaps The Iliad as he has fallen into a sleep state with verses still open! ) These are bronze clad over heavy composition and our hunch is these were manufactured by The Armour Bronze Company. Each measures 6" deep and 6" high marked with the form number #637 on the backs and are felt lined on the bases.
CONDITION: VERY GOOD NO DINGS OR DAMAGE TO THE FORMS THIS PAIR OF 1920'S -30'S ERA DECORATIVE BOOKENDS DO SHOW A LITTLE SURFACE WEAR AND DISCOLORATION IN THE BRONZE CLAD PATINA, OVERALL THE ORIGINAL SURFACE IS EXCELLENT THE PATINA IS UNCLEANED AS DESIRED.
