HUBLEY CAST IRON "ENGLISH BULLDOG" DOOR STOP DOORSTOP!!

RARE 1930's HUBLEY CATALOG #460 Full Figure "ENGLISH BULLDOG" CAST IRON DOOR STOP, NEAR MINT CONDITION! One of the Rarest and Most Highly Sought After English Bulldog doorstops that Hubley Manufacturing Company of Lancaster, PA produced is this 5" by 5 5/8" stout fellow. I have provided a photo from John and Nancy Smith’s "The Doorstop Book" which shows the dog and his value (see last photo). He is very heavy for his size at 3 pounds, and although he appears to be a solid casting, the presence of a covered screw and a seam line indicate that he is actually a two-piece casting, as most of Hubley’s dog doorstops are. The dog is Near Mint Condition with almost none of his hand air-brushed enamel paint missing. There are a few tiny fleabites here and there, but most are not noticeable.  You can still see the faint mark where the Hubley paper label was attached between his front legs. The detail is wonderful!
