This auction is for a most exquisite and rare antique early 1900s silk textile remnant. It consists of a buttery soft smooth surface of approximate 2 1/8" and 1/4" stripes alternating with a taffeta-like stripe (both stripes of the same size as other). These stripes also have a watermark in its texture. There is a less than 1/4" selvedge on one side, lengthwise and Photo 8 shows the underside. The textile is magnificent and in perfect condition with no flaws that I can detect. It is lightweight, however, it is not flimsy, having a beautiful drape and texture perfect for doll clothing, pillow backing, quilting, or used for restoration projects. It is in a glorious shade of emerald green, in my opinion, however, please note that the shade portrayed in photos may appear different on other monitors, so if it is important that you have an exact shade, and are not absolutely certain, please do not bid. I would not want you to be unhappy with your purchase. I believe that one will be very pleased with this lovely textile. It measures approximately 31 3/8" - 32" in length going with the stripes (horizontally). It is approximately 13.5" in width.
S&H is $2.35 (includes delivery confirmation USA)
