Up for sale here is an interesting oil painting from the mid 20th century.  The work is signed lower right but I haven't been able to figure out the artist.  The piece is titled "Relaxing August" and I can see why.  A bright tranquil day in Old Lyme, Connecticut. 



Notice the thick impressionist impasto and the gorgeous vibrant colors! 



Great Connecticut house peeking through the dense trees!!



The painting is in perfect original condition with no problems to speak of.



Old Lyme is rich with world famous artists...wish I knew which one did this piece!!



Measuring 16 by 20 inches on the wall and 12 by 16 painting alone.
