Some of these new reproduction antiques are so well made that you have to do a double take to make sure they aren't the real deal. These certainly fooled me when I saw them, they definitely don't look or feel like resin. The mold used to make these beauties was made from an actual antique dipper. All the original flaws, whorls and splits in the wood are evident (there's even an outline of a staple on one end!). A hole in the handle with a leather strap allows you to hang it. It measures 11" long. The bowl is about 6" across and about 3" deep. They have an amazing primitive look to them and would make a perfect accent piece in your country kitchen at a fraction of the cost of an authentic antique.  Fill it with potpourri or drieds and place it among your other primitive treasures. Hang it on a wall with a grouping of old tapers......the uses are endless!
