Offering a wonderful vintage 1950’s medical lot consisting of a Emdee by Schell doctor’s bag and 40 additional medical instruments & tools.

This is a one doctor bag. Doctor worked in Chicago, Park Ridge, Lewiston, Il, and in Bowie, MD during the 1950’s. Bag with instruments was acquired through the doctor’s daughter. Doctors bag is 17”x11.5”x8.25”, black textured leather, bi-fold style with brass lock, id tag, and two handles. Bag’s patent dates to the 1942. Bi-folds have two leather button secured compartments, one fold that was separated into two compartments, and the other fold a long compartment. The inner floor area has open space with a leather strap weaved against wall to make 6 vial holders. Bag also has original belt attached id tag holder attached to handle. Contained within the doctors bag is the following list of vintage medical instruments needed for use in those most delicate of house calls. This helps with dating it more to the 1950’s.

1 small metal screw c-type clamp

2 Surgical Scissors- one straight pair and one curved pair. 1 V. Mueller Co. and other is Stainless Steel U.S.A.

3 other tools that I don’t know the names of . Two are 5 13/16” long with tips that have small circular holes. Both are V. Mueller & Co. Germany. One is marked 0 and the other is marked 2.  3^rd tool is Marked La Cross 39-25 and has two ends with circular holes. I believe I’ve seen it referred to as a blemish remover.

Bag is in good-fair condition. Shows heavy wear on edges and on one side some white areas in the texturing. Handles show wear and leather is heavily cracked but are good and hold strong. Brass latch is in very good working condition. Bi-fold opens properly and sits well. Bi-fold compartment doors show wear along folding edges. One of the compartment door’s leather button straps is torn in half. Vial holder is in very good condition. 

                        Instruments are all used and in working condition.

Returns:

Returns accepted within 3 days of receipt of item to buyer. Please contact seller immediately with any detailed concerns. All items are sold “as-is/as-found in” condition.  Refund without shipping cost and insurance will be immediately issued when: 1) purchased item is returned to seller via USPS Priority Mail with insurance in original box paid for by the buyer and 2) return does not violate any of eBay’s terms for buyers or sellers.
