This is a Japanese sword wakizashi in shirasaya. The blade is unsigned, shinogi-zukuri shape, Edo period made blade. The blade is in old full polish, shows aged tiny scratch marks on surface but in near mint condition. The temperline is wide doran-ba temper pattern throughout the blade and has deep turn back temper at the point. The forging grain is tight itame hada, no forging flaws. There is no nicks, no bend, no crack and the cutting edge is razor sharp. The blade is rested in ho-wood shirasaya with copper double habaki. It measures 17 7/8" cutting edge, 1 3/8" width, 1/4" thickness at the notch and 26 1/4" in shirasaya mountings. Shipping is $10 priority in U.S and $30 overseas via express mail.
