THE WESTERN ELECTRIC MODEL 302, A TRUE CLASSIC DESIGNED BY THE FAMED INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER HENRY DREYFUSS AND LONG DISPLAYED AT THE MUSEUM OF MODERN ART IN NEW YORK, AND THE COOPER-HEWETT DESIGN PAVILLION AT THE SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION IN WASHINGTON, D.C., WAS THE STANDARD WORKHORSE TELEPHONE USED BY THE BELL SYSTEM AND MANY INDEPENDENT TELEPHONE COMPANIES FROM THE LATE 1930'S THROUGH THE EARLY 1960'S.
