Stunning pair of 1950's Danish Modern arm chairs, Made In Yugoslavia.
When Danish Modern design took the world by storm, the Yugos were some of the first and most passionate devotees. These are fashioned after and compare well with works by Finn Juhl, Denmark. These chairs are made of Yugoslavian Pine (harder than North American varieties) with a walnut stain. The suspension is rubberized metal coil spring and is in mint condition. These slat backed beauties are laid back. The swooping arms are definitely a standout design feature. Only typical dents and scratches to the wood. The cushions are still very good and are covered in a fun, period plaid. The tan cushion has some discoloration on the sides and back but it isn't too distracting. All the cushions have zippers for easy cleaning. Overall, excellent vintage condition.
Well made and stylish, decidedly Danish Modern.
Happy Bidding.
