Money Order Only. I DO NOT know a whole lot about JAPANESE SWORDS/KNIVES So PLEASE ask Any and All Questions about Particulars well before auction deadline and I promise to answer best I can. If you would prefer another picture or angle just let me know and I will be glad to oblige. Returning GI Bayonet Estate Sword. This sword belonged to my friends uncle who was a Army Major in WWII. THE SCABBARD (SAYA) is of gloss unusual Speckled enamel finish (this finish pattern matches the inside finish of the BOX that I just sold last week) and is in excellent condition and retains the original finish but is missing the scabbard mouth (Koiguchi) and the cord eye. It's all original as brought back from overseas. The blade is shiny full length but does have some tarnish spots as seen in the pics. No nicks or marks. The tang (Nakago) has marks (Mei, Kanji)) on both sides. The cord wrapping braid (Ito) is in excellent condition. The set looks very nice -better than the pictures show. The Blade Measures: 26 3/4" OAL tip to tang, blade width is 1 1/4" max. The grip handle (tsuka) is of ray skin. Temper line (Hamon) shows well, edge (Ha) is SHARP CUTTING EDGE. The Tsuba depicts 3 masters (priests) under mum flower tree-one is holding a Yari. The Habaki is the cast type with strike-line engraving. There is one Menuki. So bid to buy and if you have any questions or doubts, please just ask. $25 Shipping USPostal Priority, Money Order Only. Insurance is additional at your option. Thank you and God Bless to all, Dave.
