!!!ANTIQUE CANDLESTICK TELEPHONE!!!
You are looking at an antique candlestick telephone which was commonly used during the early to mid 1900s. Named for their shape, the main producers of these telephone were Western Electric, Kellog and the Automatic Electric Company. Typically, they were manufactured in two styles, with and without rotary dials, and usually came with an external ringer box.This telephone is in near perfect condition and has been fitted with a four-prong plug for actual use. The rotary dial cover plate is missing (see photograph) and there is no external ringer box. Still, the phone is in working condition and would make a perfect addition to anyone's desk or antique collection.Please note that the base of the telephone has been painted from its original finish. The construction of the base, as estimated by its weight, is thought to be brass.
