Heavy Brass Ashtray in Mid-Century Modern Style
Interesting ashtray made from two circular halves, ellipse-shaped in profile, shaped from heavy brass sheet,
and joined to create a donut-shaped hollow form.
The top has a striking cut-out opening with three indentations for cigarette rests.
The bottom has a slight circular "foot" for tabletop stability.
The form is sculptural, its visual interest being heightened
by a beautiful dark patina.
Non-smokers may use it to hold loose change or small objects.
