Good quality, antique, American, Victorian, quarter sawn oak, carved high back sidechair, circa 1880. The highback is very well carved with an organic foliate design, the seat is shaped, to the front the legs are curved out and terminate in just the best carved lion's paw feet, both rge back legs and the stretchers are ornately turned. Wonderful graining throughout, tiger/quarter sawn oak. Condition is excellent, original finish, no damage or repair. Dimensions; 42" tall x 21" wide x 19" deep, a very desirable antique American, quarter sawn oak chair, circa 1880.
