20" Gorgeous Simon & Halbig 949 ALL ORIGINAL (except wig)! $1NR

Here we have an all original (except wig) rare and coveted cabinet ready Simon & Halbig 949, with the early and  desirable THREE SQUARE CUT TEETH!

She is GUARANTEED to be free of Hairlines, or Cracks to the bisque!!! She is GUARANTEED to be a genuine SIMON AND HALBIG 949 on her original signed HANDWERK body! She is guaranteed to be an all original antique doll dating circa 1885!

I’ve seen many 949s and this is one of the prettiest I’ve ever handled. She has full cheeks watery blue original SLEEP eyes (even with the original eye wax intact!) an absolutely gorgeous expression and a signed body! This girl has a capturing face with charismatic features and memorable presence… you will never see another one this beautiful! I can't sing her praises enough!

She is on her original signed HANDWERCK body, (Handwerck was the supplier of bodies for Simon & Halbig at the time she was made.) She has a bisque socket head with Almond Cut Blue sleep eyes with painted upper & lower lashes, early stacked FLAT brows, open mouth with two SQUARE CUT upper teeth, one SQUARE CUT lower tooth, and dimpled chin. Lovely blond mohair wig over original plaster pate. She has pierced ears with original antique turquoise glass bead earrings.

Dressed in an exquisite pink ANTIQUE “Tissue Silk” costume with a  pink silk sash and matching hair bow, both made from Victorian pink silk brocade ribbon. There is a minor repair to the front of the dress, which is covered by the bow. She has two full layers of  her  original ANTIQUE cotton lace edged underwear, ( one pictured) trimmed with lace. She has her original antique black oilcloth shoes with tan leather soles and antique cream net cotton socks.

CONDITION:  Generally Excellent. Lovely bisque with expert painting of features, very crisp modeling, early pale bisque, gorgeous beautiful bright BLUE sleep eyes with original eye wax. The original Handwerk body has original finish intact, with minor retouch to upper torso. There is a chip at the right bottom eye cut that has been touched up. It only reaches a few lashes. Also, there is a minor  factory flaw behind the left ear (it is pictured very clearly in the photo of her mark.)This rare, desirable 949 child has striking features and will be a shining star in any collection!!!

I can normally get up to $2500 for an S&H 949 of this quality on my web site but I am starting her for just $1 here on eBay just to generate some interest in my wonderful antique dolls! She’s a precious find, don’t let her get away!
