Danish Retro Hans J Wenger folding Lounge Chair 1960s

For Auction we have a vintage stylish Oak and rope Danish lounge chair from the 1960s in the design of the famous 'Folding Chair' by Hans J Wegner in 1950s for PP Mobler Danish furniture manufacturers. 

This is a rare and beautiful piece of Danish craftsmanship.

 

This lounge chair is designed with comfort and style in mind making it incredibly comfortable. The organic smooth lines of the oak wood compliment further this classic vintage piece designed for its comfort, functionality and style. The distinguishing feature of this chair is the rope weaved back and its smooth and curved oak structure.

 

This beautiful rare lounge chair would look great in the living room, bedroom or study.

 

§       Dimensions: H770mm X W615mm X L 730mm. Seat to floor 390mm

§       Weight: 7.5 kg

§   Material: Frame in oak. Back and seat in beige roping. 

§        Condition: In Excellent vintage condition. The overall structure of the oak frame is solid with no breakages. The rope back of the seat is strong. The rope used for the seat is strong however has signs of wear. Given the age of the chair the rope does not in any way compromise the structure of the main frame and is in itself strong. Overall the chair shows minor signs of aging adding to the overall vintage look of the chair. The chair has been fully cleaned and the wood has been nourished and polished with Teak Oil.
