Antique Eveready Radio Model #54 Made by National Carbon Co. 1929

Here's a wonderful Estate Find! A Eveready Radio, Model #54 made by the National Carbon Co. in 1929. It does power up when plugged in. The lights and tubes light up, but we hear no sound. I was a little scared of the electric cord and plug, so other than to watch it light up, we didn't keep it plugged in for long. The console/case seems to be in pretty good condition, there is a blemish on the front of the case..(see photo), but overall for it's age not bad. When I was trying to find out some info on this unit, I did see that when it first came on the market, the price was $235.00.
