This is a nice antique Russo-Japan War era Imperial Japanese Navy funding member badge. This version is made of blackened bronze with a pin hanger attached to it. The badge alone measures 21 mm in diameter. The badge is in mint condition. The case lid is missing some slats underneath. A similar badge can be found in the excellent book, In the Name of a Living God, page 54. The group helped raise money to by ships for the Imperial Japanese Navy.
