Fabulous antique framed fractur in very good condition-the tiny type has faded a tad and a couple of the letters in the oval are a tad blurry. Wonderful deep rose,pink and black fractur with colorful motifs of the sun,moon,stars and husband and wife figures surround the documents. The lower center has the wedding tiny type. John and Mary Schlichter married December 19th, 1826...he from Montgomery County Pennsylvania and her from Berks County Pennsylvania. The birth dates of their children are on bottom left and their deaths are on the bottom right as shown. Please click on photos in the auction to enlarge for a closer view of the details. The fractur is in the original dark wood frame with carved oak leaves and acorns on corners. One leaf is missing and there is a crack in the frame at the bottom right. Original paper on back as shown. Measures: 17" by 14 1/2". Buyer to pay 8.00 priority shipping.
