The banner is gold on gold, 16 1/2 " x 9 3/4", all original including dowel rod with decorative wooden finials and original hang cord. The banner is made of velveteen with raised letters and raised decorative border composed of tiny bits of gold sparkle and glue.
The back has it's original fabric label: " Bradford & Co. Inc., St. Joseph, Mich. "
Also fixed to the back with two staples is another fabric tag with the following: "This Sample is Banner, Size - 10" x 17 1/2", No. 6, Made of Velvet, Number of Colors Printing - One, Number of Tints - Lustro Finish, Other Detail - Page 22 For Prices " .
This sample banner is in excellent condition with minor fraying along the borders and has the afore-mentioned tag stapled to the back ( staples were part of the original presentation ).
I have owned this piece for over 30 years, it's been hanging out of the sunlight in a smoke-free environment. I am downsizing my collection and will be offering other great early fretted instrument-related ephemera including a wonderful pre-war C.F. Martin store banner, also produced by the Bradford Co.
Full refund ( less shipping charges ) for any reason if not completely satisfied. Banner must be returned in the same condition as sent.
I ship only to the US and Canada unless prior agreement is arranged before the close of the auction.
