Antique Atwater Kent 9C Breadboard Tube Radio
The Atwater Kent Model 9C Breadboard (#4660) receiving set is one of the very rare and seldom seen AK breadboards. Production of this model began May 6th, 1924 and was only constructed for a few months. The production of these sets was limited due to the high cost of $70 without the tubes or speaker (in 1924 the average salary in the US was only $1200 per year). Only 4180 sets were manufactured in 1924, and only 1796 in 1925.
This 9C is very nice with all the tubes included as shown. The battery cable is long and in good shape. All in all, you would be hard pressed to find a better AK 9C for your collection.
