William IV Linen Press / Wardrobe / Chest of Drawers
Item Details William IV Linen Press that dates to circa 1830/40. An original piece of Antique furniture that is as practical today as when first crafted approximately 170 years ago. Beneath a cornice top, two panelled doors enclose a range of graduated slides; all are in good condition, with original blue paper linings and they run smoothly. Below this are two short drawers over two long and these also retain their linings, original locks and handles. The drawers are mahogany lined and joined with fine hand-cut dovetails. The whole piece is then raised upon original turned mahogany feet. The faults are the original finish that has good colour has lost some of its lustre and could do with a polish to bring it back up. One of the turned handles has a slight loss to one side, to the right side there is a six-inch loss to the moulding, and there are some veneer chips (see close up pics).
This is one of several pieces of good antique furniture for sale this week. Check out my other items!
