This all lace dress has a mixture of machine made lengths and handmade panels and large designs of hand done embroidery on net. I will tell you are the flaws first, none mar the dress. The underarms are very very slightly noticeably yellowed (but no 'ring' or obvious marking). There are about 3 small breaks in the skirt netting which I show you a closeup of a 1/3 inch hole hidden in the design. These disappear with a cream slip underneath. I see on the back of the skirt a couple of the leaves have a yellowish tint which I show you. On the back yoke near the shoulder the netting has pulled away from a strip of lace for a couple inches, easily mended. A couple threads of the woven in pink silk floss are loose, but this is not noticeable or relevant. On the back of one armhole seam there is a weak area near the seam but not split. Now for all the good news. It's a nice size with a 39 bust and waist, it's 45 inches long. The designs on the lace are just breath taking. And every bit of it is different. The design on the back is just as large but different than the one on the skirt front. The two panels on the bodice are different. On the back yoke, there is some horizontal embroidery and pleats below (the vertical lace is showing through from the front). The dress closes at the shoulder with 3 snaps. All I see are hand stitched seams. I can't find any machine stitching. If there is some it's not prevalent. Amazing work. One of a kind. Fabulous display dress and I believe can also be worn. No stains or flaws I didn't mention. I didn't mention. Never a reserve in my weekly antique auctions. Thank you.
