ANTIQUE FAN, BRUSSELS LACE & FAUX TORTOISHELL, LILIES

This is a beautiful antique fan made from faux tortoishell with handmade bobbin lace on net. The lace is worked in pale cream. I believe the lace to be Brussels, worked as unusual large lilies and buds with long, delicate leaves. It must date to somewhere around 1900-1920, but I'm not sure. It comes complete with a fan box that may or may not be original.
It is in excellent condition, just 4 points to note and look for in the photos, firstly, there is a little decorative jewel missing on one side where the sticks are joined, next, the fan-leaf is coming away slightly from the left guard stick, it just needs re-sticking, the lace is still perfect. Thirdly, there is a small patch of tiny age spots at the base of the lace where it meets the sticks, and lastly the mesh has pulled away from the back of some of the lily petals. All these minor points should all be apparent in the photos.
The box is in good condition, some signs of wear to the outside, and a little nick inside.
It measures 9.5" by 18" or 24cms by 46cms when opened. Thank you for looking.
